The
Messengers
A
Contemporary Worship Band
Call us if you need a worship band for your special event or a
special Sunday service.
We utilize Electric Guitar,
12 String Guitar, Bass Guitar, Drums, and sometimes Keyboards.
We can produce an entire service including message & invitation,
produce just the praise/worship part of your service,
or work with your praise team for a customized service.
We can provide & setup
sound equipment for the size of a small church
and
as large as an outdoor arena, or just utilize your sound equipment.
We utilize PowerPoint, Media
Shout, WordPerfect Presentation, and
about
any other video format used in churches today.
We specialize in Top 20 style praise/worship music from the past
seven years or can lead in high energy old hymns with a new flair. Yes, we do lots
of
traditional churches and the congregation responds positively to our customized
hymns.
Our intent is to bring music
you have heard before so that your congregation will
know
the songs and will sing along. We are a
Worship Leading Band,
not
a Performance Band. It’s not about us,
it’s about Him.
We're a group of 40+ year old Christian businessmen that do this as our
ministry to Christ
and
we will not accept any pay or love offerings for our service.
We have nothing to sell, we
have no hidden agenda.

Our Message to Music Directors
– Contemporary or Traditional
The number one mistake we see in the hundreds
of churches we have visited is incorrect music selection:
Contemporary Music Leaders will try to do a beautiful song that was never designed to be a congregational song –
and it should stay a performance song. Out of the thousands of Contemporary Songs today, only about 25% can be
retrofitted to be successful congregational songs. Stick to what works. Second, there are a lot of “non-hit” songs
out there that are beautiful when you listen to them, but there is a reason why they are not popular – they are not a hit.
You are usually limited to half a dozen or so songs each Sunday, so ONLY PLAY THE HITS. Leave the non-hit songs
off the agenda no matter how beautiful they may be as you want songs your folks will recognize and sing along to.
Traditional Music Leaders have the same situation as Contemporary Music Leaders – they need to play the HITS.
Nearly every Full-Sized Hymnal we’ve seen has about 700+ songs, but only about 100 or so songs are Hits.
If you are a church that does 5 songs every Sunday, you can do each of these 100 songs 2.6 times per year
and not wear them out, and not play some “non-hit” hymn which people will just stutter along to.
Your job is to get the congregation singing, so ONLY PLAY THE HITS.
If either Contemporary or
Traditional Music Leaders need help in selecting “hits”,
contact
us – we’d be happy to share with you songs we know are “hits”…
